Happenings at the Musselshell County Sheriff's Office

 


July 11-16

A caller called 911 asking for the number to the sheriff’s office!

A county employee reported fuel was syphoned from one of the county’s road graders.

A person called to report someone stole his lawn mower in Lewistown!

A person reported a phone scam.

A report of a couple boys that were in the park using some racial slurs.

A report of a fire came in. Boys playing with matches caught a shed on fire. The fire department responded and put the fire out.

Several complaints came in of a white vehicle that would go a ways and then just stop in the middle of the highway.

A person called 911 to report they locked themselves out of their apartment.

Wheatland County called requesting assistance in catching a vehicle that was running from them.

There were 20 traffic stops made, 2 speeding, 3 driving while suspended, 2 no proof of insurance, 1 expired driver’s license, 22 911 calls and 7 people in jail.

July 17-23

A requst for assistance came in from Wheatland County for additional fire resources at Emory Rd and Horsethief Rd. Roundup Fire Dept. and Dean Creek Fire Dept. were dispatched.

Numerous 911 calls were taken in regards to the fire at Emory and Horsethief.

A report of an elderly male walking, wearing only boxers and a shirt came in. Deputies responded.

A 911 came in about seeing a brown bear on #4 road. Caller was concerned as there are kids in the area. The Undersheriff and Game Warden were advised.

A suspicious activity call came in about some signs being missing on Highway 87 south.

A semi lost a load of hay near the junction of 12 west and 87 south. Deputies assisted in the clean-up.

An individual came into the office yelling at someone on their phone. Deputy spoke to the individual.

A suspicious activity call came in about several vehicles parked with stuff strewn across their hoods.

A car vs deer accident was reported. Montana Highway Patrol and Officers were advised.

An individual called concerned about a puppy that has been following them around. Officer picked up the puppy and delivered the pup to a local vet.

A report of an individual leaving the Hospital, possibly with dementia. Officers responded.

A complaint about the new sidewalks came in.

A suspicious activity complaint came in from a local business about a vehicle circling the business at closing time and yelling profanities.

A local bar called reporting two individuals are arguing and don’t want it to escalate. Officers responded.

A complaint came in about there being cones out in the middle of the road on Laundry hill.

A complaint came in from a local business about an irate customer (over the phone).

A 911 came in asking for the number to a local propane company.

There were 26 traffic stops made, w citations issued, 1 for speed and 1 for not having a valid drivers license. There were 17 911 call and 5 people in jail.
